Kevin Dinowitz, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Dinowitz is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and has practiced ophthalmology since 1996. He is a graduate of The State University of New York at Stony Brook and received his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and his Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Houston. Dr. Dinowitz is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians. Dr. Dinowitz is on staff at The Eye Surgery Center, Hartford Hospital, and Johnson Surgery Center.

James Pasternack, M.D.

Dr. James Pasternack is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and has practiced ophthalmology since 1988.  He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology and received his medical degree at New Jersey Medical School.  He completed residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Tufts University – New England Medical Center.  Dr. Pasternack is an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut.  He has volunteered for several overseas surgical eye projects.

Dr. Pasternack is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.  He is on staff at The Eye Surgery Center, Hartford Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital, and The Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Mirela Krasniqi, M.D., MST

Dr. Mirela Krasniqi is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and a fellowship-trained Glaucoma and Anterior Segment surgeon (cornea and cataract). She graduated summa cum laude from St. Francis College with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, and also earned a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University. Dr. Krasniqi received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences followed by residency at Summa Health System/Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. Krasniqi furthered her subspecialty training in Anterior Segment and Glaucoma at Tulane University where she trained in traditional glaucoma surgery as well as the latest minimally invasive treatment options. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Dr. Krasniqi is on staff at The Eye Surgery Center, Hartford Hospital and St. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Krasniqi is fluent in Albanian and Italian, and conversational in Spanish. She lives in the greater Hartford area with her husband and son.
